Skirt with valan.

The size
36/38 (40/42)

You will need

Yarn (75% of cotton, 25% of flax; 98 m / 50 g) - 350 (400) g of col. khaki; circular needles No. 4 with a length of 80 and 120 cm; 1 set of stocking needles №3,5; elastic band equal to the waist circumference, and a width of 3 cm

Patterns and schemes

Facial surface

Rows in the forward and reverse direction: front rows - front loops, purl rows - back loops;
in circular rows all loops knit facial.

Seamy surface

In the circular rows to loop all the loops.

Shuttlecock pattern

Alternately, 9 p. Facial smooth, 3 n. Purl satin; 1 rapport = 12 loops.

Tracery pattern

The number of loops is a multiple of 12 = knit acc. circular pattern. On it are given odd circular rows. In even circular rows, knit all the loops and nakida.

Rapport and 1–8th round rows constantly repeat.

Elastic

Alternately 2 facial, 2 purl.

Knitting density

22 p. X 29 krug.r./ r. = 10 x 10 cm, 8 p. = 3.5 cm, connected by the front surface (spokes No. 3.5);
Circle 22 = 7.5 cm, 1 rapport at the beginning (= 12 p.) = Approx 5.5 cm, connected by a shuttlecock pattern;
21 p. X 24,5 krug.r. = 10 x 10 cm, connected by an openwork pattern.

Attention!

Skirt knit a single canvas in circular rows, starting from the bottom edge.

Since the pattern of the shuttlecock at the beginning strongly tightened, the initial width is not taken into account on the pattern.

Completing of the work

Dial 540 (576) loops on the long circular needles and close the work into the ring.

Knit a frill pattern = 45 (48) rapports.

To reduce the width after 4 cm = 12 circular rows from the initial row in each rapport, knit the first 2 loops of the front flat surface together with a tilt to the left, and knit the last 2 loops of the front flat surface together; 90 (96) points = 450 (480) points are reduced. In all subsequent even circular rows, knit the loops according to the pattern.

Repeat the reduction 2 more times in every 2nd circular row = 270 (288) p.

In the next 2 nd circular row in each rapport, knit the remaining 3 loops of the front surface by completing 1 loop with a double tilt to the left (see symbols) = 180 (192) p.

Through 7.5 cm = 22 circular rows from the initial row, knit further with an openwork pattern.

For a belt 34 cm = 84 circular rows from the end of the shuttlecock, tie another 7 cm with an elastic band, then close all the loops according to the pattern.

Assembly
For size 1, the 8th rapport forms the middle of the front panel; for size 2, the middle of the front panel is between the 8th and 9th rapports from the beginning of the circular row.

The belt is half hemmed on the wrong side, while leaving a hole in the middle of the back panel for injecting an elastic band.

Embed elastic band, sew the ends of the braid. Hole sew.

To make a tie, make a hollow cord: dial 4 loops with 2 stockings, knit the loops with the front ones, * do not turn the work, but move the loops back to the beginning, move the thread behind the work to the beginning, tightly tighten and re-fasten the loops with the front loops, from * constantly repeat until the length of the cord 110 (120) cm is reached. Then close the loops.

Cord below the belt to pass through the last row of openwork pattern, while starting and finishing in the middle of the front panel. Nakida pattern serve as holes for the cord.
